Our Story

St James Plastering Services was founded by James Lawlor in 1993 following a two year City and Guilds course in plastering that has grown into one of the most trusted names in cornice repair and restoration. Back then, we had one goal: to bring high-quality craftsmanship to every home we stepped into. That goal hasn’t changed — it’s just grown stronger.

From restoring delicate cornices in heritage homes to installing modern mouldings in new builds, we’ve done it all — and built lasting relationships along the way.

Our builder had booked a company to repair the cornice that was destroyed while building a kitchen extension.  But they were unavailable.  I found James online.  And contacted him via email.  He got in touch with me straight away, I was impressed.  And he did a really good job on our cornice.  He finished the job in 2 days and we are very happy with the result.
